| [ The voice feed clicks on to a mess of noisy static and shuffling. Lu's voice can be distinguished from the rest of the noises in the background, though it sounds slightly muffled. She seems a bit exasperated. ]
-- told you not to eat the other nice animals, Snowbell.
You better spit it out right this instant --
[ More shuffling. ]
Ah. Very good. Get me a towel, will you, Bells?
[ Loud footsteps as something walks across the room and then walks back. ]
Thank you. Now go to the corner.
[ A quiet mrrrrrrrrrrr noise, and then more loud footsteps as Snowbell retreats to the corner. ]
... In any case! It's been awhile since I've checked in with everyone, mm? How are we all doing? Are we recovering from the incident at the casino?
By the way, if anyone is in need of medical assistance, please don't hesitate to ask.

| [ The video feed immediately clicks on in a haze of fuzzy static before it finally clears to reveal Lucrecia's face. Her hair hangs loosely over her shoulder, and she's biting down on her lip and staring into the camera with furrowed brows as she steadies it. Behind her, there's the barest flash of color as something goes streaking past. ]
I have to admit, I was a bit worried when my -- ah, what was it called again? Familiar? Well, in any case, I was a bit worried when my particular animal showed up, as he seemed a bit... pointy, what with all those teeth and long claws and all, but...
[ Here, she pauses and then turns, holding out her hand to something. There's another flash of color and the camera loses focus for a second, and then a Velociraptor slides into view. Or, well, technically a Velociraptor, only much, much, much larger.
It trots forward towards Lucrecia and pushes its nose against her palm. She smiles, stroking her fingers over along its head, getting up on her tiptoes in order to reach. From the view, it's easy to see that she's placed a pink ribbon around its neck. ]
I've decided to name it Snowbell.
Though... does anyone have any idea what sort of animal it is? I've never seen anything like it, I'm afraid.

| Well, the city seems to be in a bit of stubborn state, hm? I was sure it'd return to normal by now, but then --
This isn't my home, either, so I suppose I don't have any room to say whether or not all of this was able to be accurately predicted.
Still...
I trust everyone's been keeping themselves safe and out of harm's way? And not experimenting with dangerous chemicals that randomly explode and set everything around them on fire? Because I haven't. Certainly not.
Ah. Speaking of. Something seems to be burning, so I think I'll just go see what that is -- [ end transmission :| ]
|
| Ah, uh oh.
Well, this certainly can't be any good.
[ A significant, worried pause. ]
If there's anyone injured, please don't hesitate to ask for help. I don't know how much good I'll be able to do, but I suppose whatever I can do would be better than nothing.
|
| Oh, dear. Perhaps I should stop mixing unstable chemicals together. It never really seems to give me the exact results I'm expecting...
Or, ah, wanting.
-- Ah, anyway. ♥
It's been quiet lately, mm? I certainly hope everyone's all right.
|
| Well.
This is a teensy bit alarming.
|
| Hm. How strange...
-- Ah! I heard there was a ball? I trust that everyone enjoyed themselves, hm? ♥ It certainly sounded like it was a charming, relaxing little event. I'm sorry I missed it.
Though it's been a bit quiet lately ever since. I wonder why.
Then again, I doubt there's a real reason. That just seems to be the natural way of most things, no?
|
| This place is so strange...
But, ah, I suppose I should count myself as lucky for getting to experience something like this, hm? ♥ I doubt that many people get this opportunity.
I can't help but wonder where everyone's from.
|
| [ The transmission clicks on. In the background, there's random shuffling noises, followed every so often by little mutters of "oh, for the love of--" and "whoops." Lu's voice comes in after a couple minutes of random background sounds. ]
Hello~?
Well.
Either I've been scientistnapped and taken to Shiva knows where, or I'm dreaming. And that seems like the more logical explanation, as I'm not entirely certain who it'd be that'd have enough gall to break a sleeping lady out of her --
[ A pause. ]
Was that a --
[ Another pause. ]
Was that a chocobo? ... With fangs?
... And webbed feet?
...
...
... Ah, no. My mistake. That would be a rather disturbing looking tree branch. Silly me!
[ She gives one of those "lol this is awkward" coughs. ]
Still. This is a very strange dream.
